Outlook Should Let Me Simply Send A MeetingNoticeToPeople'sCalenda

Including myself, many of the people that I speak to agree that the Outlook
Calendar needs to add several notification options to the "add an
appointment" command. For instance, I should be able to send a notice to my
coworker's (and/or boss') calendars notifying them that I will be out of the
office or in a meeting at a certain time & day... without them having to
respond with an "accept" or "decline"... They should just be informed and be
able to see it on their calendars so, on the day that I am out of the office,
nobody can be upset with me because they forgot that I was going to be out of
the office for an appointment that they were not invited to. Afterall,
sometimes not all people that you want to notify about your schedule, should
have to be "invited" to all of your private or business functions.

There are various ways of using Calendars in Outlook to enable you to see
who's in/out on holidays.

If you would post your version next time, I would give you one answer. Here
are a few to try -

In 2002/2003 there's a Group Schedule button on the toolbar (when you are in
the Calendar Folder). This is where you can set up a view of your whole
team's calendars at a glance.

You can use Public Calendar folders (if you have Exchange) and ask people to
drag (right mouse) their leave in here as a Copy so the whole team can see
the schedule for the group. Many teams use a Public Calendar for team
events, leave etc. In 2002 and 2003 you can edit the labels so that certain
colours reflect types of leave such as Annual Leave, Compassionate Leave
etc.

If you have older versions and no Exchange server, there are few options
without add-on programs.
