Outlook set to HTML but messages appear in plain text

I have MS Outlook set to create messages in HTML -- using stationary from the
available list. The messages look fine when I view them in the Sent folder,
but everyone I send to says the message appears in plain text and all they
see are the graphic file attachments for the stationary I've selected. I want
nice looking email not plain text -- what am I doing wrong?

Maybe nothing. Perhaps your mail server is set to strip out formatting. If
this is happening to all your mail to all recipients everywhere, this is a
possible scenario. Have you checked with your mail hosting people/whomever
'owns' the SMTP server you send outbound mail through?

I have checked with my ISP. They do nothing that strips any part of any
message. Further to my first post (even though I'm using MS Outlook), I tried
setting Outlook Express to send in HTML and it was able to deliver a message
to MS Outlook with all HTML character / formatting in place. So it's clear to
me the problem is some setting in MS Outlook that I have not fixed to allow
for HTML to be sent and received properly -- but I'm at a loss as to what
that is. If you can help, please drop my a message.

I have exactly the same problem. I use Outlook 2003 with all updates done.
OutlookExpress, Mozilla Thunderbird and Incredimail works fine with HTML-mail.
I WANT to use Outlook! What´s wrong??

Did you ever resolve this problem?? I have all my settings (all that I can
find at least) set for HTML but everything I send arrives without the
formatting. This was not a problem with Outlook Express so there is no
"scrubbing" going on by the ISP provider.

Did this chat network provide any ideas????????????

Thanks..........
