Outlook says: "1% is not a Win32 application error message"

Just got a new computer, Windows XP, Adobe 7.0, Outlook 2003. I am able to
open the Adobe reader and bring up a .pdf file, but when I receive one in
Outlook and try to open it, I get the message: "1% is not a Win32
application"

I uninstalled and downloaded Adobe 7.0 again, same thing. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you receive a file in outlook, see if you can first save the file to
someplace such as the desktop. Then righclick on the file, and select "Open
with" and find Adobe Reader. Make sure to select the box "Always opne up this
file with this applicatin" or something to that degree. You should be good to
go from there.

Thanks. I am able to do that, and similarly, I can open Adobe Reader 7.0 and
open files from within the program. Outlook, however, will not allow me to
open directly anymore, even though I've assigned that program as the
application to open .pdf files with. Appreciate the thought.

Thanks, Andreas. The article you mentioned does address the "not a Win32
application" message, but seems to be connected to Microsoft Sharepoint
Portal Server 2001 and Microsoft Office Sharepoint Portal Server 2003. The
area in which I'm encountering it is with attached .pdf files in Outlook.

Any other ideas that might help?
