Outlook .PST Files and ADO.NET

Has anyone used ADO.NET to programmatically open and read the contents
of PST files? Or has anyone used another technique, such as WebDAV,
to do this?

I've used WebDAV to read and write messages but I was always
connecting to an Exchange server first. Ideally I would like to just
be able to open the .PST file and treat it as a data source.

Any wisdom on this would be greatly appreciated.
