Outlook Note - now not enough resources to open?

I have several different Notes in my Outlook (2003, XP Pro) and now one of
them, the biggest one, does not open.

When I click on it, I get a message telling me "not enough resources, close
some windows".

I know that this Note was at its limit before (and I had to therefore start
another note) but I have tried to open it without anything else open and it
won't.

How do I get to open?

can you select it and file, save as text?

is this in an exchange mailbox or pst? if pst, is it a Unicode pst?
