Outlook not sending mail

Hi

When I open a new mail in outlook from within my vb.net app and try to send
email by pressing the outlook send button, nothing happens. The send button
gets pressed but it does not send mail. I have to close the mail form, in
the end. What is the problem and how can I solve it?

PS: Sorry forgot to mention. It is outlook 2000 and I am using interop
assemblies generated by vs 2003.net as default.

could be a securety issue...

or just forgo outlook entirely and use the .NET's SMTP mail feature. If you
add the email account you were
using with Outlook as the CC of the SMTP mail, your generated message will
still be retained in that account's
inbox.
