Outlook - Nickname Field

In exporting Contact Database from Outlook to an Exel File (File -
Import/Export - Export to File - Microsoft Excel), Outlook inexplicably
exports every field other than the all important 'Nickname' field, which is
needed in mail merge letters for salutation field (Dear 'Bill" as opposed to
first name - Dear 'William', etc.). It makes no sense that Outlook will
export radio phone, telex, ISDN, TTY Phone and other odd fields but will not
export a critical field.

Any ideas on how to work around this shortcoming? Thanks.

Can't repro your problem, but I do wonder why need to export to Excel to do
a mail merge.
If you want all Outlook fields available for a merge, just start the merge
from Outlook.
