Outlook keeps setting Exchange as "default"

Hi all,
I have an Exchange 2003 (part of Windows Server 2003 SBS) but I am
using my hosting company's mail server for now. I wanted to use
Exchange's mailbox as mail delivery and contact manager and be able to
use OWA. In Outlook email account screen I see:

<web hosting mail> POP/SMTP (default)
Microsoft Exchange Server Exchange
Fax Mail Transport MAPI

However, sometimes the "default" gets assigned to Exchange which
results in emails not being sent/received. Would it be safe to just
delete the entry "Microsoft Exchange Server" without adversely
effecting the Exchange functionality (OWA, using Exchange mailbox
instead Personal Folder, ...)?

TIA

You only get the exchange mailbox in your profile if you have the exchange
account in outlook, so don't delete it. It's probably getting reset when you
reboot the computer and connect to the SBS server - known issue. The fix is
to make a new profile and add the exchange account yourself, or have the
admin delete the prf from the logon script. The best solution is setting up
SBS to send mail, so it doesn't matter which account is default.

If you delete the Exchange Server service from yuor mail profile, Outlook
will not be able to access the Exchange server at all. It would not affect
Outlook Web Access in any way, since that's a web view into the Exchange
server. OWA cannot see personal folders in a Personal Folders File in any
event.
