Outlook keeps asking for mail password

I had a glitch that started this morning. Whenever I send/receive email,
Outlook asks for the password. I have gone into the account set-up and
entered the password (always absent in the various boxes) for multiple email
addresses and saved it all, only to click on send/receive email again and
have the "enter Network Password" box to appear.
This is getting quite frustrating. Any help?

Hard to say without any configuration information.

Version of Outlook?
Version of Windows?
Which type of mail account are you using?
If multiple mail accounts on POP3, do they share the same POP3 server?

Thanks. The interesting thing is, it was working just fine until this
morning, although upon starting Outlook it said the a database had to be
verified (or something like that). That's when the problems began.

And your e-mail provider is a secret? If Comcast, search Google News to
see reports of outages today.

Check with your ISP, I have the same problem and found that they are working

Thanks for the tiip.
Guess I didn't need to. This morning I re-entered the passwords into
Outlook and did not have any of the trouble of yesterday. Apparently you are
correct - it might have been the ISP. Thanks for the tip, anyhow!

I have the same problem. It's just start recently, and I've used the
same system for almost 1 year. On mine, Outlook keeps asking for the
Network password, even when I'm not doing anything!

Here's my system specs:
- Windows XP Pro
- Outlook 2007, part of Office 2007 Small Business version
