In 03 the network drive F: in this case has all our client documents on it.
In 03 all activity was recorded in Outlook Journal. F: C: any external hard
drive; all showed up in activity without my doing anything other than to
click to record the activity.
Now all my C: and any external hard drive activity is recorded but the
network hard drive (our Server) F: is not recorded.
I search all setup and other activities within outlook I could think of to
try to get this to record our F: drive but have failed to find any solution
or suggestion for a solution to date. Switch to Vista from XP in December.
Did you ever get a workaround on your problem with this? We have run into the
exact same problem switching to Vista and Outlook 2007 from Windows and
Outlook 2003. Beth
I too am pretty sure that earlier versions allowed me to record file access
to networked drives. It may have been Outlook 2000 with Exchange server 2000.
I just noticed this "problem" when I was updating my class curriculumn fro
the journal feature. At least now I know it is not something wrong with our
installation.

I am having the same problem, My Outlook 2007 only journalizes when a file on
my hard drive is accessed not when a network file is accessed. Is there any
way around this?
Microsoft are not being open here - they REMOVED this functionality from
Outlook 2007. I believe there was a hotfix made available after a bit of a
user outcry, but it only works from the server. Look up knowledge base
articles 956506, 956724, 956725, 956951 - or google "Outlook 2007 journal
network drives".
I just installed the new office patch a few days ago, and since then my
journal has been keeping records of network files.
