Outlook Inbox Issue

If anyone out there can help me you'll be my hero! Something happen to my
Outlook Email over the night. I'm looking for a simple icon. In my Inbox
Folder there is the Folder List to the left of my screen. Just beside that
to the right is a small row of icons. There is the (!) symbol, a flag and a
paperclip. Yesterday my piece of paper symbol was there and it allowed me to
see what the status of my emails were. It would show me a closed envelope if
the email was not open yet, it would show me if the email was open by showing
an opened env. It would also show me if my email was forwarded to anyone and
if I have replied to the email. Well this morning it is gone and I've been
all over the place trying to get that little "icon" symbol back in it's
place. Can any one help me. I called Microsoft and for the low low price of
$50.00 bucks they could continue the conversation. Well I was hoping someone
could disclose that info to me for free. In exchange, I promise to make you
my hero... Please, Please, Please help me... thank you in advance!!!!!!!!!!

You don't say what version of Outlook you're using. You can restore your view
using two different methods.

First try the following:

Click on Start, then Run, then type in "outlook.exe /cleanviews" without the
quotes, then hit enter.

If that doesn't restore, then when Outlook is open click on View > Current
View > Customize Current View then click on the Fields button. Add the fields
you are missing: Importance, Flag status, icon, and attachment, then arrange
them in the order you wish to see them. Click OK until you're out of the
selections and that should do the trick for you.

Let me know how you make out.

Sounds like you've removed the "icon" column.
Depending on your version of Outlook you can add it either via
View-> Current View-> Customize Current View-> Fields
or
View-> Arrange By-> Custom...-> Fields

If you can't get it done you can also press the Reset Current View button.
