Outlook ignores custom contact form after find

L

Larry Myers

I am using Outlook 2003 v11.5608.5703. I have created and published a
custom contact form for a public folder in Exchange. When I browse the
public contact folder and open a contact, Outlook will use my custom
form to display the selected contact. However, if I first execute a
'find' to prune the list to a more manageable size then open a contact
from the pruned list Outlook reverts to using the default contact form
instead of my custom contact form. The article here:
http://www.outlookcode.com/d/contactform.htm mentions this behavior in
the limitations section. Is there some sort of workaround that I can
employ to force outlook to use my custom form after a find? Is there a
patch in the works from Microsoft? Thanks in advance for any help or
information you are able to offer.

Either use Advanced Find or publish the form to your Personal Forms library.
