Outlook (I should say, Overlook) 2003 Reading Pane

Has anyone found a way to set the Reading Pane for Outlook 2003 to be in one
specific location for all folders without having to go to each folder and
then sub folder to set the Reading pane location. I have over 1000
customized folders and each one has sub folders. I'm actually thinking of
going back to Outlook 2000 for a system that works!

Thanks,

I wholeheartedly agree.. I'd like to turn off the reading pane
PERMANENTLY!

With every new folder a user creates one has to manually turn off the
reading pane..

With a reinstall or migration to a new computer EVERY SINGLE folder is
reset to have the reading pane turned on.. Got a thousand folders?
Prepare to enter each one individually and turn off the god damned
reading pane..

You can't even modify the default view to turn it off..

I'm seriously considering reverting to a previous version of Outlook
also. With this version and the changes made by SR2, combined with the
frequent hanging, and the forced reading pane, I'm pretty sick of the
product and the attitude of it's manufacturer. The previous version was
much much more stable. I'm definately ready for something else and
willing to switch. Hopefully there'll be a calendar in Thunderbird
soon and this chapter of being stuck with Outlook will be over..
