Anyone have any idea what this error message means?

My outlook suddently hang this afternoon, an hour after I've installed
Google Desktop (not sure if it's related). I have no way to get Outlook
going, even safe mode failed, and "detect and repair" doesn't fix the
problem.

An idea?

Does uninstalling Google Desktop change anything?

I created the same issue after using the Microsoft "Save/Restore" setting
utility restoring the configuration from 6 months ago. I have uninstalled MS
Office and re-installed to no avail. Still looking for an answer myself.

Are you runing Panda Anti Virus

If so disable the PAV com add-in and the problem goes away.

I have a ticket open with Panda.

My Error was being caused by a certain Addin that I had chosen to disable due
to its failure to load during one of the executions of Outlook. The problem
manifested itself strictly when viewing attachments.

Addins seem to be an incessant problem with Outlook. You can view your
disabled addins (Help -> About -> Disabled Addins) and attempt to enable some
of them to see if that fixes the issue. Also some programs may conflict with
outlook, such as FAX and Anti-Virus software. You may want to turn off all
running processes and services related to those and try again.
