Outlook Freeze

Hello,
I have two issues, that are probably caused by the same
issue. I haven't been able to resolve it, and from the
looks of it, neither has anyone else.

Setup: Office XP Sp3 + TS2000(all the latest patches)
(Dual P4 2.4Ghz, 2 gig Ram, Raid 1. Roughly 15-20 users

Problem 1: Outlook will hang for no apparent reason,
causing the user session to come to a standstill. If I
end the outlook.exe process for that user, the session
speeds right back up. The only way to correct this, is
to have the user log off and then back on.

Problem 2: User will be composing e-mail and then click
send. Upon the click, Outlook and the e-mail in question
freeze completely. If the user waits it will eventually
send, but this can take anywhere from 1 minute to 15
minutes. Typically I have to reset the users session so
they can work.

The only error I see is a DCOM error, but it appears it
relates to a wtptis.exe which is an acrobat exe. I have
4 servers of varying specs hardware wise, but the
software setup is identical. These problems are very
sporatic, with no rhyme or reason. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason

Jason,
Have you tried removing the next message ready to be downloaded from the
server. I used web mail to remove the corrupt message stalling outlook and
all returned to normal. If a web mail interface to the server is unavailable
try getting headers only and then mark only the newer messages for download.

.
Not sure if that would be the issue. I am running it
with an Exchange server, so I'm not sure if the
downloading the next e-mail would cause it.
