Outlook Form Shortcut

Hi,
I was wondering how to go about saving an Appointment form
I created as a shortcut on my Outlook bar?

Thanks,
-Chris

That great Sue, thanks!
I have another question that I hope you can answer.
On my form I have added the Microsoft Date/Time Picker
control. I have changed the values of the Date/Time Picker
so that a user can select one date as a start date and one
as an end date. That works fine, but when I go into my
calendar and highlight a date and time and press "New"
(appointment) the Date/Time Picker fields on my form do
not automatically change to the date and time I selected
in my calendar. Is there a way I can do this?

Thanks,
-Chris

What happens if you double-click the date/time when you want to create the
appointment?

This default date/time comes up and it's always the same.
Even if I create an Appointment using the Date/Time Picker
on my form, it creates the Appointment on the proper day
but when I open the Appointment the dates are on the
defaults.

I don't know what you mean by "this default date/time." Do you have an
initial value set on the control? Also, note that an appointment form may
default the Start date to the date/time it was published.

Yes, it is the initial value set on the control.
It is not changing when I change the date/time for a given
appointment.

What happens if you remove the initial value? Is it set to run just at
startup or update automatically?

I can't remove the initial value.
If I go into the properties of the Date/Time Picker under
the General tab there is a value in there. I can change
the value but I can't remove it.
How do you make it run automatically?

Thanks!

The initial value for the control would be set on the Value tab, with two
different options for when it's applied. What do you see there?

The "Set the initial value of this field to:" is not
checked and the space below is blank.
The "Calculate this formula when I compose a new form" is
checked.
If you go into the other properties, the DTPicker
Properties, that's where the date and time is that keep
showing up on my form.

What do you see on the Value tab for Choose Field and Property to Use?

I don't understand what you mean by "the other properties." Where are you
looking at those?

For Choose Field I have Start.
For Property to Use I have Value.

If you right-click the Date/Time Picker in design view the
menu that comes up has two Properties on it. One, that's
right above Advanced Properties and one that's right at
the bottom of the menu.

Ah, so you're referring not to the normal Outlook control Properties dialog,
but to an additional dialog for the DTPicker itself, right? What happens
when you try to change the date in that dialog?

Exactly.
I can only select certain dates from a drop-down in that
dialog. And whatever dates I pick become the default.

C

Chris

Unfortunately this doesn't help me.
The date still doesn't change when I create an appointment.
For example, if I wanted to make an appointment for August
28th from 12:00 - 2:00 it will work and the appointment
will show up under that time on that day. But if I open up
the appointment the date in the Date/Time Picker does not
reflect the slot in which the appointment is saved. The
Date/Time Picker just shows the date that's in the Value
dialog under properties.
