Confused- will I lose outlook express when new version comes out?
Exactly what do you mean by "when new version comes out"?
Do you mean when Windows 7 is released? Of course you don't have to
leave XP. The choice of whether or not to do so is yours.
Will xp support outlook express so I do not have to chose a new
e mail program?
XP already supports Outlook Express. If you are asking about XP, it
doesn't appear that you are asking about Windows 7, so I repeat my
original question above.
If I has to chose what do I use safely?
Are you now asking what E-mail program you can use safely? Safety has
almost nothing to do with the question. You can use whatever E-mail
you prefer as long as it runs on the operating system you are using.
Outlook Express is only one of many E-mail programs that run on
Windows XP, and you can choose among them now. I personally use
Outlook under Windows XP, because I prefer it to Outlook Express.
On Windows Vista, the E-mail program that comes with it is called
Windows Mail, but, despite the new name, it's essentially just the new
version of Outlook Express. On my Windows Vista computers, I also run
Outlook, because I prefer it to Windows Mail or other alternatives.
I haven't seen the Windows 7 beta myself, but my understanding is that
no E-mail program comes with it. So if at some point you upgrade to
Windows 7, you will have to choose what E-mail program you prefer.
The reason I am
asking is because people at cloudeight say we should not use program that
will be in the 7 upgrade
I don't know who the "people at cloudeight" are or why you feel their
advice should be trusted, but if they are talking about the E-mail
program that comes with Windows 7, they don't know what they are
talking about, since there is no such program.
- not to check it off i download- I am so confused-
perhaps I should just use outlook even if I have to buy it. Thanks in advance
Your choice of E-mail programs, both now and at any time in the
future, should be the one that *you* like the best. Ignore my opinion
that Outlook is better than Outlook Express or anyone else's opinion
about what's best. We all use these programs differently and different
features can be important to you than to me or anyone else. Try
several (many are freeware or shareware with a trial period) and
decide which *you* prefer.
