OutLook Express

I have been using outlook express from the time I first put W-95 on a
machine I "built."

It may not be perfect but I'm used to it.

It's also my "window" to Usenet.

PROBLEM: our latest machine (we have 4 working machines in the house from
W-98 to Vista) doesn't have OE. It has something called "Windows Mail."

As far as I can tell, it's doesn't support Usenet access.

If I'm wrong, tell me how I do it.

If I'm right, tell me how to get a version of OE that will work on a Vista
machine.

Thanks in advance.

I'm using Windows Mail with Usenet. Go to TOOLS/ Accounts. Set up ADD
newsgroups.

The same way you did in OE ... there is very little difference in the two
programs. I use both, OE on my desktop and WM on a laptop, and can't tell
the difference in functionality most of the time.

Outlook Express was replaced by Windows Mail in Vista. You cannot install OE in Vista. Windows Mail is like Outlook Express and you set up newsgroups the same way as you did in OE.

I don't know whether OE will run but Thunderbird does, and in look and
feel, it is very much like OE.
