Outlook/Exchange problem

P

Peter Lecki

Two users out of about 60 having problems accessing their mailbox
using Outlook. One of the users had their mailbox moved from one
store to another on the same server, the other user had no changes
made. They can both access their Inbox, but not any of the
subfolders, or Deleted, Sent, Contacts, Calendar, etc. OWA seems to
work fine for both users in all folders. I already tried recreating
the mail profile, didn't help. Also tried accessing the mailbox from
another client, same problem.

One of two things happen... Either Outlook shuts down generating the
following:

Event 1000 - Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.6565.0,
stamp 42cacc7d, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180,
stamp 411096b4, debug? 0, fault address 0x0000ede5.

-OR-

The following message is shown where normally you'd see the contents
of the folder, such as messages or contacts:
Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the
specified folder location. Out of memory or system resources. Close
some windows or programs and try again.

No errors generated on Exchange server.

Any assistance appreciated,
-Peter

I had a similar issue about 4 weeks ago on a 2K3 Exchange SP2 cluster. I
never found the real problem, but I believe it's caused by the Anti-virus
software on the server (I had ePolicy Agent and McAfee anti-virus). I
resolved the problem by moving the mailbox to another server, trying to
access the mailbox with the client (wich succeeded), restarting the "problem"
server and then moving the mailbox back to where it should be placed.
