outlook email problem

I can receive emails on several accounts in Outlook, but
not the email.msn.com account. The "receiving email" box
shows "receiving 1 of 8 emails" but then blinks out and
the red X appears next to the msn email account line. The
error message reads: TCI/IP connection unexpectedly
terminated by the server. (Account 'pop3.email.msn.com';
POP3 Server; ' pop3.email.msn.com.' Error # 0x800ccc0F.
This has been going on for several days. Any ideas?

I've had this problem as well, but it only applies to the
email server that I remotely login to (i.e. my company's
website has dedicated POP accounts, and that is when I
have the problem), and only on my computer. When I login,
I get the message "Downloading message 1 of XXX", and then
I immediately receive a "TCP/IP connection terminated by
server" error message.

Furthermore, I set up my account info on a different
computer in the same office, and it works just fine. All
other users with the same dedicated POP accounts are
downloading email with no problems.

There is something wrong with my computer's Outlook. It
could be a virus, a corrupted program file in Outlook, or
something else. I'm hoping Microsoft can clarify how to
remedy this problem.

Do you have any anti-virus software set to scan incoming mail? If so try
turning that off to see if it might be causing the problem. Also, what
version of Outlook do you have, and how many accounts do you have on MSN?

It was the antivirus email scanning software. Thanks for
the help. Now I can get all that wonderful spam again!!!
