outlook email freezes when I open outlook

outlook email freezes when I open outlook. I received an email with an
attachment it was a large picture file
but now when I try to open the mail it freezes. How do you fix it?

Try starting Outlook with the /nopreview command line switch to see if you
can then open Outlook and remove the troubling message
