Mine started (a couple days ago) the instant I upgraded from Office 2003
(Student version) to Office 2007 (Ultimate) and replaced the new .PST file
with the old one.

I have tried (three times) the Start/Run with both switches to no avail.

What else could be causing this?

Thereby corrupting your mail profile. Never replace one PST with another.
Moreover, when changing versions, it's almost always a good idea to start
with a new mail profile.

Okay. I agree, it would have been better if the "upgrade" had taken care of
that for me. (Wait! Maybe it did. I could be mistaken about replacing the PST
file on this machine, I did move it (the PST) to another machine running
Office 2003 and had no problems.)

In any event, moving forward... How do I repair this profile without losing
access to the data contained in this specific PST file?

The Mail applet in Control Panel. Create the new profile and point it at
the existing PST.

Okay, I removed the current Account (If that's what a Profile is). I, then,
created a new Account (again... Profile?) and pointed it to the PST file. The
Reminder portion of Calendar still is non-functional. Did I do what you asked?

In my observations problem is not with Pst. As I have configure the new
profile in on freshly installed os the same problem is repeats. So I have not
checked the existing office and found few folders are missing in office 11 so
“XLSTART, STARTUP†so I have coped the file in existing office11 folder and
then I have started outlook with start --run-- Outlook /cleanreminders
..the problem is resolved ..
But will opening outlook from the desktop the same problem is repeats??????

Can any once say me what is “ipmom†folder in office11 this folder is
missing in -C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11

kiran...

Perhaps if your English were better someone could answer. I'm not exacty
sure what you're asking.

PROBLEM IS RESLOVED BY DOOING THIS

1. Select the caleder
2. Drop down view, select arrange by, select current view, select recurring
appointments
3. Starting at the top doubel click on each one listed. The one that gives an
error message is the one causing the problem.Delete that appointment.

Okay, changing (replacing) the Profile did the trick.

FWIW, your response to kiran was typical of Microsoft's arrogance. I
understood him fine -- albeit with a little mental effort. Perhaps a small
bit of effort to solve this problem would have resulted in less than a
fifteen (now sixteen) entry thread. (Not to mention the multitude of similar
threads on this issue.) Arrogance adds way too much friction to a very
frustrating experience to be an effective weapon in your arsenal.

You may not realize it, but this isn't Microsoft tech support or
employees , only a user populated peer to peer public newsgroup. It only
resides on a Microsoft owned server.

1) I don't work for Microsoft (and neither do nearly 100% of the people in
this group)
2) Lucky you. I guess I'm not as good at reading minds as you are.

I have tried opening outlook with the switches.
I have opened every recurring appointment, gotten no error messages.
I have double checked the reminder settings in Outlook (that is that they
are on).
The reminders do appear on my Blackberry.
This is a new computer, the email was configured and nothing has changed.

Any other suggestions?
