outlook distribution list name invalid

Hi there

I recieved a new computer from my It department and since then I have had
difficulty with my distribution lists and it is driving me crazy,
unfortunately my IT departmenet has been unable to help me so here goes.

I have a number of distribution lists but if I try to send and emial or set
up a meeting using the list, it is not recognized as a distrubution list and
I get the message that the contcat name is invalid. I believe it may be
looking for the name in the global distribution list.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I us ethese lists daily.

Is the DL in your Contacts or in the GAL?
