outlook deletes messages

Hi,

I have a problem with Outlook 2003 in that it automatically deletes all my
messages once I have read them including mail from contacts I have saved.
Have checked there is no rule running that could be causing but still
nothing. Read mail is not even put into deleted mail or any other folder,
no trace at all - the only way to later retrieve mail that has already been
read by outlook is to check save copy on server and use outlook express then
export/import but obvioulsy this is not ideal!

Check your View setting. Go to View-Arrange By-urrent View and make sure
that the view set is "Messages" and not "Unread Messages"
