Outlook Connector issues w/ live.com emails

I have an live.com email account. I go online and look at the email in that
account. I delete what I do not want to download and then download to
Outlook. When I set up the live.com account it set up Outlook Connector in
my Outlook program. It setup a folder named the same as my email account
with live.com.

Here is the issue. When I download emails from the live.com to my Outlook I
then delete those emails from the live.com account. Why have duplicate
emails since they are now on my computer. I review the emails in Outlook
delete some and keep some. The next day when I go online to check the
live.com for new email my emails from the day before get deleted. The only
thing I can assume is happening is that the live.com emails I kept on my
computer are not on the live.com and live.com thinks it should delete the
emails I have on my computer. The only what I can stop this is to move the
emails to another folder I made in Outlook. Is there a setting I could
change to stop this? My att.net email account in my Outlook does not do
this.

Is your ATT account set up as POP3 and you leave mail on the server?

The Outlook connector is similar to exchange server or IMAP - copies of your
mail is downloaded to your local machine and originals remain online.
Changes are synced with the mailbox on the server. If you don't need the
calendar and contacts syncing you can configure it for pop3. See

the server names to use.

Connect to your Live mailbox with a different type of account.
My att.net email account in my Outlook does not do this.

Your Live account is a two-way account. Your AT&T account, which is POP, is
not. POP protocols are only one-way - from mailbox to client. Live accounts
go both ways. If you want a one-way Live account, use POP to access the
mailbox, not the Outlook Connector.
