Outlook connector - can not send email etc etc

I am using Vista business and Outlook 2007.

I downloaded MS Office connector and installed it. It is NOT beta version.

My urgent problems are

1) I can not send email for Hotmail. However, I can receive.

2) I have hotmail emails in my outlook inbox as well as in Hotmail inbox

3) If I delete an email form either Outlook inbox or Hotmail inbox it is NOT
deleted from other location.

Any suggetions?

Did you restart outlook after installing it? Unless we have an error
message to give us some clues, its really difficult to figure out why its
not working - it could be your firewall blocking it or something wrong with
the server.

Finally after restarting several times, I found that there are 2 hotmail
accounts. I deleted the one and it works fine now...

However my other problems remain i.e.

2) I have hotmail emails in my outlook inbox as well as in Hotmail inbox. Is
it possible to have just in one Inbox?

3) If I delete an email form either Outlook inbox or Hotmail inbox it is NOT
deleted from other location. How to synchronize the 2?

hotmail is a server account (unless you use POP3) so it will always have its
own mailbox. if it’s the only account - ie, you don't have pop3 accounts -
you can set the account and message store as default and delete the other
pst from your profile.

Can I set homail as POP3 account - how?. I tried but was not able to do so.
I found infomation for Outlook 2002, I am using outlok 2007. I used those
instruction to set hotmail as pOP account. I was unable to send Hotmail email
by this method.

I have other POP3 accounts - ie. non-hotmail.

delete the other pst from your profile - do you mean Hotmail pst?

If i keep both - do I have to delete email from both Inboxes?

Hello Brian

Thank you very much.

All my inbox emails from Hotmail account are coming to my Outlook inbox.

However, junk and delete folder in Hotmail are not transferred to Outlook.

I know emails from these folders will be deleted some day. However, I like
to check my junk mail folder just in case a good email is sitting there.

Alos, I had a few other folders in hotmail, which do not transfer to outlook.

Am I doing something wrong?

Right. If you converted to POP, then you lose access to any non-Inbox folder.
POP prototols don't support folders.
