Outlook connector and pop3 settings

Why does Outlook connector only support imap and not Pop3 I have Qwest live
account and the settings are pop3 when I use outlook connector with my
outlook 2007 which is bundled with my office pro plus 2007 many times outlook
connector is unable to connect to mail.because of the mapi settings.From all
the trouble shooting through qwest and msn partner support we keep coming
back to set my email as pop3 .When I use Pop3 settings my personal folders
will not download to outlook plus my calendar will notsync/update

The Outlook Connector doesn't support POP, either. It supports the DeltaSync
protocol.

If you have POP settings, then why are you using the Outlook Connector at all?

Thanks. Apparently that didn't sink in the first time I read it. Make sure
you're using the most recent version of the connector. Delete the account and
readd it from the "Outlook Connector" menu in Outlook.

server. reason being Qwest live uses pop3 connector is mapi. will there be a

No, of course not. Outlook supports POP without the connector. The connector
is strictly for Live/Hotmail connections.

Clearly I don't understand your configuration because POP and MAPI connector
accounts coexist in Outlook with no problem for many people, including me.
Perhaps someone else will be able to help.
