Outlook changing email address when received!

We have a contact whose email address is (I have protected it)
(e-mail address removed). When we receive an email from them Outlook 2003 displays
it as (e-mail address removed). This means that when we reply to the email it
bounces back. The contact is in the address book as (e-mail address removed).
What could be causing this?

The most likely cause is that the sender has the mail account set up wrong on their end, in their mail software, so that you get it with an incorrect reply-to address. Less likely is that the person's mail server is responsible.

Thank you for your reply. However, I have contacted the sender and he can
confirm that his email account is correctly set up. Another strange thing is
that we will get some days when the emails are fine and others when the
com.tw is received as comt.w!

I know of no Outlook feature or bug that would explain that behavior.
