Outlook calendar and Palm

I am unable to get my Outlook 2003 calendar to synchronize with my Palm
Tungsten E. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you installed the conduit from Palm for it?

Yes, I have. I just downloaded the latest updated Outlook upgrade off the
Palm site.

I can't find the beginning of this thread so I'm not sure which Palm unit
you've got. Which one? The Tungsten line came with Palm's own Outlook
conduit while the Zires come with Chapura's software.

I am using a Tungsten E and I have downloaded off of the Palm installation CD
the Outlook conduits.

I've got the same model and once I installed PalmDesktop & the conduit (plus
relevant updates) things worked dandy. When you HotSync does the log show
anything odd?

Hi Vince, I just did a Hard Boot on my Palm and then a Hot Sync. In looking
at the log everything shows "OK" except for the calendar. The log for this
shows "Outlook Calendar synchronization failed". I tried the repair, modify,
reinstall portion of the CD, but now I cannot get the "Microsoft Conduit"
portion of the CD to load. It goes to the point where it asks if I want to
make the Palm Desktop my contact manager. I say no and from that point on
nothing happens.

As an FYI, for some strange reason when calling up the contacts the fax
numbers appea for most of the contacts. I have to go into the "Detail"
screen of the contact to get the work numbers. This happens on about 90% of
my contacts and has been happening ever since the time I switched from ACT to
Outlook for my contact manager. (About 3 months ago)
