Outlook Calendar and IMAP accounts

Hi!!!
I have an issue with MS Outlook 2003.
I recently changed all my POP accounts to IMAP accounts and moved all POP
content into the IMAP folders. Everything went well after the move, I can
see the folders and everything is stored now on the server.
Now, this is the problem I am having.
Whenever I want to schedule a meeting in the Outlook Calendar and invite
attendees, everything goes well until I actually save the calendar meeting
and the invites try to go out to the attendees.
I keep getting an error on the IMAP account and for me to check the network
connection or modem.
Now, I am connected to a LAN at work and I can see the IMAP server
perfectly. Is there something I am missing now that I am trying to send
invites using my IMAP account?

Please help as I sync this with my pocket pc and it's becoming a hassle
every time I want to create an appointment it doesn't reach my recipients
because of this error.

Thanks much in advance,
Teo

I can't help with the problem, but I don't think you can sync an Outlook
IMAP message store with a Pocket PC through ActiveSync.

Ok figured it out.
My comp started having major problems.
It wouldn't let me log in.
I would put my user and password into XP it would ring the music and then it
would say logging off and it would take me back to the login page again.
Had to reformat the tham thing and now I got everything working with IMAP
and everything.

Just one thing about IMAP.
Why is it that when I delete a message on IMAP you just see it scratched and
not removed at all?
Is there a way to just remove it from there so it's not sitting there
scratched off?
Thanks,
Teo

That's the way IMAP works. You're merely marking a message for deletion.
It takes a Purge command to actually perform the deletion.

Not with Outlook, at any rate. Other IMAP clients may behave differently.

You will need to manually purge the folder of deleted items.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Ok, so basically there is no way of removing them.
I ask cause I receive all the mail in the Inbox and from there I move it to
the specified folders inside the inbox folder. After that the message in the
Inbox folder gets scratched so obviously it will be a lot of scratched
messages.
I need to be able to see the messages on the server on both my PC and my
PDA. Is there an easier way to work with this?
With IMAP I can open my account on my pocket PC and check all the messages
as well as on my laptop.
I don't have an Exchange Server. I use Alt N MDaemon mail server.

Thanks much for the help so far,

Regards,
Teo
