Internet Explorer 8 and missing web cont

Hi,

I'm Installing Exchange 2007 on Windows 2008 with a DC windows 2008
when i start outlook 2007 for account configuration
Outlook asks for username and password.

What's the actual issue?
Did this ever work directly without supplying a password?
Is this on a domain client where the logged on user is accessing his/her own
mailbox?
Have you verified your authentication settings in Exchange already?
