I have been tasked with modifying the default archive location for a Citrix
Environment and am having difficulty. The first issue is the path. They
want the path to be a network share that all users will access, however each
arhive is to be named %username%_Archive.pst, therefore the path would look
like this \\<Severname>\ExchangeArchive$\%username%_Archive.pst
I have warned of the potential issues with performance and corruption,
however this is the solution they desire. I have tried with vbscript and
since vbscript does not have a conversion from ASCII to hex, then this is
slow due to the ASCII and hex equivalents must be set in a static array to
provide Hex mapping. This is slow (about 2-3 minutes to perform). We need a
VB ASC command, however I will move on. I also tried to update using a PRF
and the path never changes just increments the Archive.pst to a higher
number. I would like to solve this with a PRF file, however passing the
variables and setting the path seems to be the issue. I have performed these
steps as prescribed in the microsoft support documentation with no success.
I will post the PRF if I need to.
Any help with this will move us forward. This item has been requested by
several companies to date and would be a nice feature to get working. Please
