Outlook appt. times confused by DayLiteSavingsTime

Before Daylight Savings Time, the Outlook 2003 user times
for his appointments were no problem. But since the spring-
ahead, when his assistant using Outlook 2000 and accessing
the bosses Outlook 2003 calendar thru her Outlook2000,
appointments entered by the assistand in OL2000,show up as
1-hour earlier on the Outlook 2003 users screen. Both
users are on central time. The Outlooke 2000 is on
Windows2000, the Outlook2003 is on XP Pro. I will try to
close the version gaps here, but is this a known problem
or caused by version mismatch?

Check the Time Zone settings in Outlook.

Select the TOOLS menu
Select OPTIONS...
Click the CALENDAR OPTIONS... button
Click the TIME ZONE... button

There is also a little check mark in the time zone area
for DST (Daylight Savings Time). Check to see if that
should be on or off.

Also check your CONTROL PANEL | DATE/TIME
in Windows.

Nikki,

I have a totally different issue when it comes to the DST. I already
posted this but I wanted to address you directly as well. I will paste my
other thread here...

I have a very odd situation here. After daylight savings time occured my
appts are all moved ahead one hour. I found the root of this problem but
have no clue how to fix it...

My System time is fine. It is set to the right TimeZone and also has the
Daylight Savings Time box checked. Now when i go to the TimeZone option
in
Outlook (2000, XP, and 2003) it is also setup right but the time in the
greyed out field shows one hour ahead of what the system clock says.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Hi!

I had the same problem with my outlook 2003 (see my post
"Calendar-View-Problem: Fulltime-Dates are displayed from 1am am to 1am").

As described I unchecked the box an - as far as I can see - my dates are
corrected.

Unfortunatelly the error with Full-Day-Dates still exist so I (again) have
to correct them manually... =(
