Outlook and exchange server problem

P

Peter

I'm using Outlook 2000 to connect to Exchange Server 5.5.
I have 3 Internet e-mail addresses:
(e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed) and
(e-mail address removed). (e-mail address removed) is my reply
address.
But I still want to send e-mails from some of the other
addresses. When in the from field of new mail message I
wrote e.g. (e-mail address removed) the mail is received from
(e-mail address removed).
Any ideas how to solve the problem...

Thanks in advance, Peter

Hi Peter
Thats happening because thats the address that has been
set up on the Exchange server as your reply address. I am
not sure but if you set up a seperate profile then that
should sort out this issue (I might be wrong and am happy
for a MVP to tell me different). To set up another
profile:
Go into Tool and then Options,
Click on the Mail Services tab and select "prompt for a
profile to be used"
Click Ok to return to your inbox
Log off of Outlook completely
When you start Outlook again, you will be able to either
select your existing Outlook profile (probably called
something like "MS Exchange Settings") or you can create a
new profile.

Hope this helps

David is right, you need to create three profiles in
Outlook and check the box in Options to prompt for profile
to be used. Then when you create the profiles, change the
default description to the way you want the email to look
whether it is pj@company or peterj@company or
peterjones@company. You will have three email accounts
and sets of inboxes, sent mail and outboxes, using these
profiles. You need to create these email addresses in the
Exchange Server receipient folder for you on the Email
Account tab, by adding three Internet Mail smtp mail
boxes. The main email is in caps and the others are in
lower case.
