Outlook address book should let me list by surnames like Express

In order to accomodate an HP IPAC I was obliged to change from Outlook
Express to Microsoft Outlook. However try as I may all address entries I
make in Outlook are listed by First name. This is most unsatisfactory. Is
there anything I can do to remedy this.

And whilst on the subject of differences, one of the great merits of Outlook
Express is that jpg attachments were displayed with the In Box and Outbox.
With Outlook this is no longer the case - again a great nuisance. Is there a
way of remedying this?

With thanks for your anticipated advice. G P G Robinson

Open up the contact for any person. On the left hand side, under the
'general' tab, do you see the 'File as:' option. If you click the selectable
box for that field you will see the option to have surname listed first.

Attached graphic files are shown as attachments in Outlook rather than in the
body of the message like in Outlook Express because Outlook is primarily
designed to be a business application. Business users generally do not need
to see photos immediately when they open an e-mail message, whereas a home
user might feel differently.
