Outlook/Access Data Collection

I am using Office 2007 for data collection with the new Access feature. The
entire process works fine, but I am unable to collect the e-mail addresses of
the responders unless they key it into the form. The survey is based on
tSurvey with the following fields:
txtEmail
txtQstOne
txtQstTwo
txtQstThree

I only want the form to show the questions. When I import the survey
results (I do this via a linked table to an Outlook folder) it only retrieves
the questions. If I include the address in the form and have the users key
in their address I can collect it, but I would rather not make them to that,
if at all possible.

Please let me know if clarification is needed...

Thanks in advance!

You need to have the email addresses in the Access data collection table and then, when you create the mailing, choose the option "Use the e-mail addresses stored in a field in the database."

Hello Sue.....but I think the answer desired is " but I am unable to collect
the e-mail addresses of the responders."

I also have a site that anyone can visit with a form where I ask for
information and desire to populate Access with the answer to my questions and
aquire the sender's address without them entering it.

That sounds like a slightly different approach from what PJFry was asking about. The Access/Outlook 2007 data collection feature can handle respondents' addresses only if they enter them manually or if the option to use the stored addresses is chosen.

As for your web page, think about this: If there were a way for any web page to capture a site visitor's email address without the visitor entering it, wouldn't we be even more overwhelmed with spam than we already are? No one's address would be private.

Your correct....but I thought he was asking about obtaining an email address
without the sender having to enter it.

Yes....i did manage to figure that one out.

BTW.....I have read several of your post as well as others MVP's in this
group and I must say this is one of the BEST places because of the dedication
of the various
MVP's. I appreciate all the effort/advice given.
