Outlook 98 and Windows Address Book

I am running Windows 98SE and have Office 97 Pro and Outlook 98. I keep
reading about a Windows Address Book (WAB) and a Personal Address Book
(PAB), but all I have is the address book or list of contacts that is a part
of the OUTLOOK.PST file. I can run WAB.EXE, but all it does is opens up the
outlook list of contacts.

I do NOT have a WAB or PAB file anywhere on my computer. How can I get one
so that I backup the address book (contact list)?

It's best not to use a PAB file with Outlook anymore -- it's really an
outdated method for storing contact info. And WAB is a format used by
Outlook Express, not Outlook. Best bet is to keep all the contacts within
the .PST folder -- then you can either back up the entire .PST file, or open
a new .PST file (File | New | Personal Folders File) and copy the contacts
to a folder in that .PST. When the copy is finished, right-click the root
folder of the new .PST and click Close. The file will remain on your hard
drive and you can call it up at any time using File | Open (in Outlook only,
not from Windows).
