Outlook 2007 with Vista - "can't open this item. outlook has alrea

I have a big (6mb) file sitting in outbox. i cannot move, or delete. when
double click the file, it says: "can't open this item. outlook has already
begun transmitting this message" while i already canceled transmitting.

Click File-Work Offline. Close Outlook. Re-open Outlook. Try to delete the
file now.

By gosh we got it. My guess is the "Off-line" suggestion, worked. At first
it did not, and indeed I tried it many many times. After nearly an hour
"off-line", I clicked on the email in the outbox, it opened, and deleted the
large file. After that all worked fine.
