outlook 2007 will not open.do i need to uninstall and reinstall?

outlook did not close properly when my computer shut itself off.
next time i wanted outlook, it did not open. Message "cannot start microsoft
office outlook.cannot open the outlook window"
what do i do??

Can you start it in safe mode. If yes post back



Start > Run > outlook.exe /resetnavpane

(notice the space between outlook.exe and /resetnavpane)

1) the mail data file is large
2) the pc is using low resources (slow pc or verly little ram memory)

That is kind of dumb at this time to use that KB you posted . If the OP opens
Outlook with the Safe Switch which will be most probable then it is a 3rd party Add
In that would be causing the issue. This can be corrected and the panic switch
should not be pulled yet
