Outlook 2007-Vista-

I have installed Outlook 2007 on my Vista computer. Whenever I open Outlook I
get the following message "Data file did not close properly the last time it
was used. Being checked for problems. Performance might be affected..." I did
properly close Outlook.
Also I cannot send from Word 2007 - the error is ..."MAPI failure.
Unspecificed Error..."
Also I cannot send from the Photo Gallery. I get the dialog to set picture
size, but then nothing gets attached...I can manually attach photos or other
files fine - but that doesn't size the photo files.
Outlook 2007 is and always has been my default e-mail - as set in "Program
Defaults"
I've never gotten this to work correctly - so any assistance would be very
appreciated.

Does the outlook.exe process actually stops when you close Outlook?
Did you upgrade from a previous version of Outlook on that machine?
Tried doing a Repair on Office already?

Yes - Outlook seems to close just fine - but at times it locks up (Not when
closing, but just when it's been sitting for awhile) and I have to go into
task manager to get it to close. I've tried Repair too.....

Which add-in do you use?
If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook disable this
integration and try again.

Been there - done that....(although I do occassionaly get an error in IE
about a problem with a flash player update...)
Keep the ideas coming - I really appreciate it!

It doesn't look like this was resolved. I have been exeriencing the same
problem and was hoping for an indication of what was wrong. Can someone help
with this problem?

I am experiencing the same issue. I am running Outlook 2007 and Vista brand
new on a new laptop. I did run File Transer wizard to migrate some settings.

I tried disabling add-ins. I turned off alerts. I tried to remove settings
for Adobe Writer (I have CS3). I just now tried disabling macros, but I have
a thrird party help desk add-in that is supposed to be Ok for Outlook 2007.
