Outlook 2007/Vista final realease can not setup account

I have installed Vista and Office 2007 (final release) and I was trying to
configure OUtlook to connect to our Exchange server. I first did the
auto-configure which seemed to fill out all the fields correctly, except that
it keeps prompting me for my username and password. I'm joined to the domain
so I wouldn't think it should be doing that. Anyway, I type in the username
and password and that didn't work either (keeps popping up). I tried
(e-mail address removed) as the username and I also tried DOMAIN/Username as the
username. Neither worked. I'm not sure exactly how I should be
troubleshooting as the same exact settings work fine on 2003 running XP. I
also did trying to configure it manually but that didn't work either. Is
there something on the Exchange server side that needs to be enabled in order
for it to work with 2007?

Thanks

What version of Exchange? If you skip the automatic configuration (never worked for me anyway) and use the manual configuration, does it work then?

Do you have a default gateway set up in your network connection?

happened with the prompt for credientials every time.

I was finally able to get it to work, however, I had to use RPC over HTTP to
make it connect. I also checked use HTTP over fast networks. I'm not sure
why that would work over the standard way to connect to Exchange 2003. I'm
not a big fan of using the cahced mode on the network so I'm hoping someone
can help me with this.

Thanks!
