When starting Outlook 2007 for first time, the program hangs up while
synchronizing or migrating account settings. does anyone have a suggested
fix?

Possibly: New profile via Control Panel. Start with that profile and add
your accounts manually.

Due to concerns with creating a new profile, my reliance on Outlook, Exchange
Server and a PDA conduit to conduct daily business, I uninstalled Office
2007. I will wait for another release that installs effortlessly. I like
what I see, but just can't afford to be without, even for a short time.

That's way overkill.
What concerns do you have a bout creating a new profile? It's a regular
solution issues with all versions of Outlook. Would you uninstall if you had
an issue with the version Of Outlook you are using now and needed a new
profile?

Everytime I started Outlook '07 it hung up while migrating account settings
and I had to force quit. Perhaps I'm not understanding you. Should I create
a new profile before attempting to start Outlook for the first time? How do
I create a new profile, do you mean a new user account? That is is the only
relevant command that I see in Control Panel.

will creating a new profile create a communication conflict with MS Exchange
Server 2003 or my PDA conduit?

It shouldn't effect Exchange except that the account will need to be added
adn you'll need a new synch.
The PDA might need to be configured again.

So . . it will indeed affect them. I don't understand why this is necessary.
When you say that I will "need a new synch" are you referring to the action
that occurs automaticilly when starting Outlook, i.e. synch with mail
accounts etc. or something else?

I've created new mail profiles and have never had it affect my PDA sync as
long as I don't have my PDA cradled when I do.
