Outlook 2007 Send Receive Interval

I am trying to find the default send/receive interval in Outlook2007 when
online
The default setting in send receive groups is 30 minutes but when online I
get mail straight away, is there a setting for controlling this when Outlook
is online ?

Thanks

I am not using IMAP, POP or RPC/HTTP just LAN connection and SMTP with Exch2003
The setting in send /receive group is set to 30 minutes but I receive a mail
sent within seconds without pressing F9 so this setting cannot apply. For
users in our remote offices over slow WAN links I would like to be able to
set the send/receive interval

Thanks

This statement cannot be true. You have several ways to access an Exchange
server. One (the most appropriate) is with an Exchange account. No POP, no
IMAP, no SMTP. Alternatively, if the Exchaneg admins have enabled the
options, you can use one of the other account tyupes, but if you're sending
mail via SMTP, you MUST be using POP to get incoming mail. There is no such
thing as receiving mail by Exchange and sending it out via SMTP in the same
account.

If you are using an Exchange account, then there is no send/receive
interval. Exchange notifies the Outlook client via UDP packets when a
message arrives.
