Outlook 2007, Remote images in signature

Hello

I have an email signature that I have created as a plain html file and saved
in the "Signatures" directory.

The signature includes images that are from my website. I have noticed when
I send emails that outlook is replacing my original html and attaching the
image to the email rather than using the one hosted on my website.

Is there a way to stop this? Is it a good idea to link to external images? I
sent an email to someone at microsoft uk with this signature and it got
marked as spam I guess because of the images can someone suggest a best
course of action to ensure emails are not marked as spam, but still keeping
the images?

Thanks
Brian

Linking to remote images is a way that spammers validate email addresses.
If it looks like spam, it is spam.
