Outlook 2007 receiving or sending email

I installed OL2007 Enterprise edition. The first install was over
Office 2002 with Outlook 2007 taking on all the attributes that were
there in 2002. All my personal folders etc, were there. Every thing
seems to work except send and receiving email. I removed all of Office
2007 and did a clean install with the exception of renaming the old
PST file so it still took on the attributes of the original outlook
2002. When I try the repair of the outlook account it gets hung up
trying to connect to the server. I have checked and double checked the
user name and password and email address. I even change the whole
account profile both at my ISP and in Outlook 2007.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Try with a new Profile via the Mail icon in Control Panel. If that then
works open your old PST and copy data over.

When upgrading to Outlook 2007, it's best to create a new mail profile:
