Outlook 2007 - Outlook will not start and office 2007 won't uninst

L

Lon

It started when Business contact manager was uninstalled. BCM uninstalled
fine but after that outlook starts and then says it has a problem and must
close. This process will just repeat. I said well, I will just uninstall and
reinstall office 2007 enterprise and that will be that. Office 2007
enterprise will not uninstall. It says that the uninstall was unsuccessful
and that a restart is needed to complete the process. I do a restart and
nothing has uninstalled. It should be noted that the problem is on a client
computer on a SBS 2003 r2 network. I can still access the mail and calandar
on the remote "office on the web" so the store on the server seems to be
intact. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recovered all outlook data and have outlook running by creating a new
profile. However, if I make any attempt to install Business contact
manager, even from the Wizard that appears as the message store is
repopulating outlook. If I try to install BCM from CD it fails and the gist
of the error report is this: The installation source for this product is not
available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
C:\WINDOWS\Installer\7388d2.msi
MSI (c) (AC:8C) [14:48:38:800]: Decrementing counter to disable shutdown. If
counter >= 0, shutdown will be denied. Counter after decrement: -1
