Outlook 2007 not closing on first try

I've had this problem show up on several of our computers running Office 2007
on XP SP2. When you either click the x to close or use File - Exit on the
menu, it looks like Outlook is going to close, it empties the deleted items,
but then doesn't close. You have to then click x again or do file - exit
again to close it. Very annoying when it does it several times a day. Any
ideas why it would be doing this?

Most likely this is caused by an add-in which is not fully compatible with
Outlook 2007.

I have two custom forms one's an Outlook custom form the other is a 3rd party
form for our spam filter. I'll try removing those and see what happens.
