Outlook 2007 missing dll

S

Steve Geard

I am having trouble with Outlook 2007 on a Win XP Pro machine, after starting
Outlook issues the following message:

"The required file naCmnLib.dll cannot be found in your path. Install
Microsoft Office again."

Do I really need to re-install Office? Can't I just copy in the missing
file? If I do reinstall Office, what will happen to the user's received
e-mails (to valuable to lose)?

A repair install should not affect the existing emails but it may not help
since the missing dll belongs to mcafee. you can end the error by disabling
the email scanning features of mcafee - they aren't necessary and give no
added protection over what you get from the main mcafee program.
