I have been using Outlook 2007 for email for about a year. For the last week
or so, I've gotten reports that my emails have not been received. I've tested
by sending an email to myself - no success. Problem is, there are no error
messages, so I assume everything has gone through just fine. The emails show
up in the sent file. (I use Comcast, but they say it's an Outlook problem.)
Can anybody help me?

Open your web mail interface, see if the mail you sent yourself is visible
Also run Office Diagnostics

Turn on Diagnostic Logging and look at the log created when you attempt to
send mail.

Tools->options->other->advanced = enable logging (troubleshooting)

It it's in the Sent Items folder, as far as Outlook can tell, it has been
sent. One of two things is likely, either the Comcast server accepted it and
failed to send it on, or you have an antivirus scanner scanning outgoing mail
and that is accepting the messages from Outlook but failing to pass them on to
the Comcast server. In neither case is Outlook the problem. If you have an
AV program in the mix, uninstall it and reinstall it without the mail scanning
feature. You'll still be just as protected and you'll eliminate a source of
mail problems.
