Outlook 2007 inbox not refreshing with Google Desktop Search

Has anyone found a solution to get the inbox of Outlook 2007 to refresh when
Google Desktop search is installed and enabled? The new messages do not
show in the inbox unless you switch to a different folder and then back to
the inbox.

Thanks

Uninstall Google Desktop Search? Or switch back to a version of GDS that
didn't give you this issue.

It actually never worked with 2007. This is a known issue that I have seen
no resolution for. I find this hard to believe that it should not work. A
while ago when we upgraded to 2007 I had to disable the Google Desktop
Search to fix this but our CEO prefers GDS over Microsoft Live Search.

But it works once you've uninstalled GDS? I would contact Google support
then.

The most common issue for folders not updating automatically in an Exchange
folder is when your firewall blocks UDP network traffic between Outlook and
Exchange.

I have posted to the Google group. I have to assume there are others in
this forum that are using Google Desktop.

You can assume that in just about any newsgroup but it would still be
off-topic just like I can assume that many of us here have a Skype or
Windows Live Messenger account.

Here we're trying to find solutions for Outlook issues, so the suggestions
are related to Outlook configuration changes. In your case I was trying to
determine if Outlook or GDS is your issue. If it is not an Outlook issue or
an Outlook issue caused by a 3rd party application we usually tend to move
away from it and refer to the proper support channels which in your case
would be Google.
